  1. Does Santa get any presents at Christmas?

Yes he does. Santa's magic is built up every season by little boys and girls who do good deeds and believe in him and the spirit of Christmas. Him and Mrs. Claus also exchange gifts right before he goes out on his trip. Most years he gets something for the trip and she get's something for her sewing or baking.

  2. Where is Santa's Village?

For obvious reasons, the true location of Santa's Village, North Pole Village, Santa's Workshop, The North Pole, whatever you want call it, is kept secret. The location has been kept secret for centuries, and the other Legendary Figures don't even know where it is located. In fact, now that I think about it, I don't even know where it is, and the only person who does know how to get here by direct flight is Santa. The Department of Elfland security does have portals throughout the world that transport us from here to different locations. These portals do; however, require a lot of electrical energy to operate.

  3. Does Santa Claus have any children?

Why of course. Santa and Mrs. Claus have two sons, and three daughters. Of course their names are different and their identity is kept secret for security reasons. Santa and Mrs. Claus also consider and treat children all over the world as their own. The both feel strongly in showing love, affection, and encouragement to all children.

  4. How do Santa's reindeers fly?

Santa's reindeer can fly due to a magic lichen that grows in caves at the North Pole. When Santa first moved to the area, he noticed a pack of reindeer had the ability to hop and jump extremely high. After a lot of investigation and research, he found out how this was happening. He now has elves that have perfected a special recipe using this lichen for Santa's reindeer team that allows them to not only fly, but pull the sleigh all night during their delivery schedule.

  5. How many elves are there in Santa's Village?

Most of the elves that work at Santa's Village live within the surrounding mountains around the village. Some of the elves that work in the workshop will stay at the dorms, and some of the shop owner elves live above their shop. There has never been a census taken as to how many elves there are living in this area, but a guess would be well over 100,000.

  6. What does Santa do when there is a fire in the chimney?

Santa's clothing is fire and heat proof, but his face and hair is not always protected. He has been doing this for several years and has a perfected technique that keeps hime safe.

  7. How does Santa get into my house if I don't have a fire place?

Santa started using the fireplace as an entrance into people's homes so that he does not have to open any doors or windows many years ago. If your house (or apartment) does not have one, there really is no worry since Santa can magically place one temporarily. The fireplaces will act like a portal for him to transport from the roof into your living room.

  8. How does Santa deliver all his presents in only one night?

Santa is very close friends with Father Time. Many years ago, Father Time had given Santa a gift. This gift is a small device that he can use to alter time. By planning his trip correctly, using the time zones, , and implementing the use of this device, Santa can actually perform his trip with no problems at all.

  9. Does Santa eat the cookies that are left out for him?

He absolutely does! Santa loves his cookies and the reindeer love the treats kids leave for them as well.

  10. How does Santa know if you've been naughty or nice?

Santa has great connections and somewhat of a sixth sense for this. He just knows, it is one of his magic powers. Here at the North Pole, we get reports from schools, churches, and different elves that work outside of the North Pole region. All of these reports are documented and logged into our Naughty/Nice databases. The database is used by the elves so they know what presents to make and how many. Santa checks and verifies the list at least twice. With our great connection to the Internet, children around the world can check their status with a connection to our Naughty/Nice database by connecting here.

  11. How do we know if there are any elves nearby?

Elves are friendly, happy, and fun little people. They do like to play little pranks. They also love little gadgets and are obsessed with human sized socks. So, if you every notice one of your socks missing, maybe the tooth paste cap or thumbdrive cap comes up missing, or someone moves things in your house, or even leaves you a little note on your bathroom mirror... you may have been visited by an elf.

  12. Does Santa wear anything other than his famous red suit?

No. Santa has many different outfits that he wears. The famous red suit is mostly for his trip and public appearances. Not only is the suit fireproof, but it also is climate controlled. As you know, Santa is a big guy, so the suit actually adjusts the inside temperature as far as heating/cooling when needed. This is why Santa loves to wear the suit.

  13. Does Santa have any pets?

Absolutely. Santa and Mrs. Claus love pets just as much as they love children. They have several different pets in their mansion and almost every one of the shops and workshops at the North Pole has pets. The elves love them too. Santa and Mrs. Claus have the ability to communicate with animals, so they always like training and talking with new pets.

  14. Why does Santa have a long white beard?

When Santa first started making gifts for children, and before he met the elves, he was a very busy man. So busy that one year he actually stopped shaving. He noticed that when he went out to make his deliveries, the beard would keep his neck warm. He has had a long beard ever since. (It is white because as you know, Santa is quite old.)

    TOP

  15. Does Rudolph always lead the sleigh?

Yes he does. Rudolph's nose acts as a headlight during snow storms, and since it is red it is easy to shine through the driving snow fall. Rudolph even has the ability to make his nose brighter if needed, so he will always have a place at the head of the team.

  16. What kind of computer does Santa Claus use?

Santa does not have an actual computer, but several terminals that are connected to the workshop and the Department of Elfland Security's computer networks. As far as brand, there is a division of DES that actually builds the computers to fit the needs of Santa and other village departments. So I guess you can call them, "Elf" brand computers.

  17. Why can't I ever see Santa or his elves on Christmas Eve?

As mentioned before, Santa has a special device that can alter time. When he makes his deliveries, he is actually moving very fast, so to actually see him by the naked eye it is almost impossible. There have been those who have heard his bells or felt a breeze, but have never seen him due to the speed.

  18. How many reindeer are at the North Pole?

There are thousands, but only a few are recruited to be on Santa's team.

    TOP

  19. Does Santa need snow to make his Christmas deliveries?

No. Santa's sleigh was altered a long time ago so that he can make a vertical landing if he needs to do so. This is how he makes his deliveries to places with no snow. He does; however, love the thrill of the horizontal landing on the snow. This kind of keeps him awake (or wakes him up) while he is making his deliveries.

  20. Why are there so many Santa's?

Santa not only likes to bring gifts to children during the holiday season, but he likes to meet with them too. With so much going on at the North Pole, he just does not have the time to visit everyone during the holiday season. He does make it to some appearances, but he has many, many helpers. All of Santa's helpers (or those who dress up like him) are specially trained to act or represent Santa. He makes a point to talk with each one of them to find out what kids say they want for Christmas and give them some pointers in tips. What most people don't know is, Santa sometimes sneaks out and will pose as one of the "helper" Santas. With that secret being revealed, there is a good chance that when you go and see Santa during the holidays, it may be the real Santa.

  21. Why does Santa bring us gifts?

Santa has been delivering gifts to children for many, many years. There are a few reasons for this, but the main reason stems back to when he was a child. Santa's parents passed away when he was very young and he was raised by a small village moving from house to house over the years. All of the children in the village became his brothers and sisters, and Santa was very grateful for everyone who showed him love. He had in his heart the need to give back and since he really had nothing but a small knife that belonged to his father, he began to carve small wooden toys for the boys and girls of the village. This started his quest for making sure all children had a gift for the Christmas.

  22. Does Santa go on vacation?

Sure he does. Santa and Mrs. Claus start their vacation a few days after he returns from his trip. He spends a few hours with Mrs. Claus on Christmas day, then he takes a couple of days to sleep. Once he wakes up and takes care of a few business related things, they are off for their vacation.

  23. My old brother says there is no such thing as Santa, is Santa real?

You don't have to believe in Santa, Santa believes in you and wants you to believe in the spirit of Christmas. The belief is giving, loving, and caring for others. This belief should not only be around the holiday seasons, but every day of the year.

  24. How many toys do the elves make in a day?

Mrs. Claus just got this question the other day from a little boy she was talking with. The actual count is close to 50,000 a day, give or take a few thousand. There are a lot of crafting elves at the North Pole, and they need to make a lot of toys.

  25. Why does Santa wear red?

When Santa first started trying to train reindeer to pull his sleigh, he had a hard time getting them to listen to his commands. He sought help from a reindeer trainer that told him a very important secret to reindeer training. For some reason, the reindeer will listen to someone wearing a long red hat. Santa went back to training his reindeer, wearing a long red hat and it worked. He then decided to have his suit made to match his hat. And that is why Santa wears a bright red suit and hat.

  26. What is you and Mrs. Claus' favorite Christmas movie (asked by Alice).

Santa and Mrs. Claus have several favorite Christmas movies. In fact, that is about all that they watch and it depends on what is going on that week at the North Pole. One that do do watch a lot is the original 1964 Rankin and Bass Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer since it is very close to actually how Santa met Rudolph.
