Russian Tea Cakes (Snowballs)

Servings: 2-3 dozen

1 CUP(S) softened butter
1/2 CUP(S) powdered sugar
1 TSP vanilla
1/2 TSP salt
2 1/4 CUP(S) flour
3/4 CUP(S) chopped walnut
extra powdered sugar for rolling

In a large bowl combine butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt on low speed of mixer for about 1 minute. Blend well.

Gradually add flour at low speed until just combined.

Stir in nuts.

Roll dough into 1 inch balls, place about 1 inch apart on a ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes or until firm to the touch, but not brown. Do not over bake.

While warm roll in more powdered sugar.

Let cool, and re-roll in powdered sugar.
