The Office of WWW/PR is reporting that there have been two major changes made to the TAOLF.com website this week. These changes have been planned for a while and were scheduled to be done by previous web masters; however, Gracey Kimble and Alex Grumbly were able to map out and code these changes while Santa and the Mrs. were on vacation.
1. SITE SEARCH ADDED: There is now a site search on the website that will allow all visitors to search blog posts and resource links. The search engine will look at the titles and descriptions for the search string that the visitor enters. The information will be returned with the title as a link and a short description of the result.
The search box can be found on top of the resource listings on every page. Future plans include to incorporate this better into the mobile menu system; however, this will take some more planning and coding.
2. PINTEREST PIN PAGES: There is now a connection to the Pinterest API that will display pins on a webpage with the descriptions below it. Since this is an API connection and not a widget plugin, these pages are now updated dynamically when new pins are made to the the associated boards. This function used to exist in the past, but has now been updated for newer technology.
