The Craftsman Elf Oath was created many years ago and it is taken by every worker who enters into an apprenticeship program at one of the workshops or factories within Santa's Village at North Pole City. Very little has changed to the oath over the years; however, from time to time it is reviewed and revised. The Office of Elf Affairs will schedule a weekly induction ceremony for all new apprentices to attend in order to take The Craftsman Elf Oath. If you are new to the program, please check with the office for the next scheduled inductions ceremony.
I vow to perform my job to its best,
for everything I build I shall test.
To adopt each creation as if it was my own toy,
and to be certain to bring a smile to every girl and boy.
To listen and follow my supervisor's rules,
and to always take care of and pick up my tools.
To create my toys as Santa would,
and to hold that rule sacred is understood.
To put love into my creations,
and to my fellow elves have good relations.
To fulfill every child's dream,
and to make their smile on Christmas morning gleam.
To take time for myself and relax,
so I can avoid a time-off tax.
To be caring to all that are far and near,
and to promote the spirit of Christmas every day of the year.
