Rudolph met with the department today to collect some new resources for his new campaign to fight bullying going on throughout the world. As a small reindeer, Rudolph has dealt with his fair share of bullies and would like to help spread the word to help others who may be having some of the same issues.
Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Both kids who are bullied and who bully others may have serious, lasting problems.
About 20% of students ages 12-18 experienced or were victims of bullying in the United States, with 56% of these victims believing that their "bully" had the ability to influence other student's perception of them.
One of the resources he found to be a great resource is the StopBullying.gov website. On this site there is a lot of documentation and resources to help parents and children who are being bullied and help stop this behavior.
Rudolph hopes that if you find this information to be helpful, of if you know someone who may benefit from this information that you reach out and share it. A good starting point to solving the problem is to help spread awareness.
