For Immediate Release: During our division's patrols during the planting event of the Division of Forestry on February 5, 2022, we happened upon an encampment out in the Noble Forest that appeared to be well stocked and inhabited for sometime. Whoever was using the campsite must of quickly left when they heard us coming as their was an freshly extinguish fire and a hot pot of coffee at the site.
After spending some time on site, we found that the campsite belonged to Professor Hinkle. There was a trunk found under a rug in the tent of the campsite and inside were several tuxedos and documents that had notes for magic tricks with Professor Hinkle's signature. Historically, the professor has attempted to make his way up to North Pole City to try and capture Frosty the Snowman's magical hat that once belonged to him, but now is how Frosty comes to life.
We immediately reported this find back to the main office and additional forces were dispatched to search the area around the campsite, as well as, protect the elves that were conducting the plantings. Once the plantings were completed, we released an alert throughout the city asking anyone to report to the division if they see anything out of the ordinary and report it back to the office.
Over the next 24 hours we had secret details out patrolling the surrounding areas of the City and the subject was reported hiding within the shed behind the Wrapping paper factory. Once he was spotted, the office was notified and two third level security detail agents went in and captured the suspect and took him immediately to Claus Mansion the evening of February 7, 2022.
After spending some time in the mansion getting warmed up and well fed, Santa asked that all of his belongings be brought from the found campsite and be placed into Santa's Sleight. At 03:00 hours, Santa took off with Professor Hinkle on board and he flew him back down South with a warning as to not return to North Pole City in the future.
Furthermore; administration wanted to know exactly how the professor was able to breach the parameter of the city without being detected. There was no drop of communications in any of the sensors about the parament of the city at any time. We went though all of the reports on record and found nothing that was not normal readings. It is uncertain how he was able to gain access; however, we will be watching these sensor readings more closely. Santa did ask Professor Hinkle this question during the integration, but the processor would not provide any information.
