Bidding on a Position

It is Santa’s intent that all elves remain happy workers and he understands the creative need for each elf to seek out other positions within the Union. This is why he has established a bidding program that would allow an elf to change his or her duties at any time they wish to pursue a different career.

When a new position becomes available, any member of the Elf Workers Union has the right to bid on that position, providing the following rules and guidelines.

• They have the needed skills and qualifications to perform the duty and position to its fullest; or,
• Are willing to enter into an apprenticeship for the position they wish to obtain.
• There is someone to relief their current position; or,
• There is adequate coverage for their current job duties.

All position openings will be posted by the Department of Elfland Security’s Human Resources office now named, the Office of Elf Affairs. You will be able to find a complete listing of openings each week published in the Peppermint Post Newspaper.
